JMM Industries Pty Ltd is the successor to Combustion Air, the original designer, developer and manufacturer of the WCC Carbon Reactivation Kiln. We are the owners of the original proprietary design, and still work alongside former Combustion Air engineers, the original creators of the technology. Combustion Air was founded in Perth (Australia) over 40 years ago, by company founder and innovator Peter Stewart, who embarked on a program of research and development to overcome problems encountered with conventional technology and develop an efficient, robust and reliable carbon reactivation kiln. This drive for excellence enabled Combustion Air to dominate the global Carbon Reactivation Kiln market and our successor firm JMM Industries Pty Ltd continue to deliver excellence to the mining industry.
In the gold industry, the use of activated carbon to separate gold from cyanide leaching solutions has become an industry standard for efficient gold recovery in Carbon-in-Leach (CIL), Carbon-in-Pulp (CIP) and Carbon-in-Column (CIC) operations, however to minimise the loss of gold in the circuit, carbon must be regenerated.
With JMM’s thermal regeneration technology it is possible to reactivate carbon close to its original figure. Trials on our WCC kiln technology have proven that values of over 90% reactivation can be consistently achieved with several leading brands of carbon.
